So I pulled up to the gas pump the other day, as is a frequent occurrence when you drive a full-sized four wheel drive truck, as many of us Colorado-dwellers do. As the tank filled, I noticed the price per gallon displayed on the pump; after my nifty $0.03 discount due to my loyalty at the local grocery chain, I was paying $1.79 a gallon. That sounded pretty cheap, and it caught my eye in that it was below $2 for the first time that I could remember. Shortly thereafter, the nozzle clicked shut and I had a full tank…for just over $50! It wasn’t that long ago that I had to use two credit cards to get a tank of gas, as many stations would limit the pumps to only deliver $100 of gas on a single card authorization. It was at that moment that the true impact of the recent declines in the price of oil hit home.  So I pulled up to the gas pump…
